Breaks were allowed 3 to 5 times a shift which was important. Working in and outside was good for fresh air whilst working in a busy production area. Training was good Most staff were friendly and approachable. The agency I worked for had a lot of enforcing and regularly updating rules and we were hindered by text requests. Cons Long Hours, Confined, Restricted, Unsociable hours I am a multi-skilled maintenance engineer at Alpla and I work on blow moulding machines. I maintain and deal with breakdowns on a range of plant and machinery. working 12 hours/day 2 days-2 nights i learn how to operate autopackers, keep an eye on the details. good managment. The hardes part of job was lifting the palets and put in to the machines. alpla is a very hard place to work for with long hours and difficult shifts in high temperatures but when you are able to switch your mind off and get on with the work the time goes quick and the wage is satisfactory due to the amount of hours what are available.

Location United Kingdom 11 reviews A Normal day/night shift would constist of problems. I learnt how to pack, check, lead and maintain production. Management was really lacking as most of the time we didn't have managment or a stable manager working in that position. Workplace culture was intresting as it was mixed with positive and negatives The absolute hardest part working for this company was the inconsistencies in the workplace as from my experience there was no management in our department majority of the time. Equipment for the job was constantly broken making the job five times harder, exhausting and dangerous. The most enjoyable part of this job was meeting empolyees and collaborating with them, everyone was from different locations of the world so for me this was really intresting to work along side different personalities from all over the world. Jobs was great and busy but workplace culture was unprofessional. No support from manager at all. Old fashioned management style.
