Some schools are focused on the right things and a lot of schools are not. For example, our magnet schools (which I attend one of them) are very poor. There is only one (Davidson Fine Arts) that really give their students and opportunity for the future. The other "magnet schools" are really just wasting time. They don't even allow sports, which is a huge outlet for scholarships and such. They're too focused on our HIGHSCHOOL academics and not our college future. I went to TCM, good school but not as challenging as a "magnet" school would ideally be. The staff is really great though! As a senior of course COVID-19 has pretty much ruined any senior activities we had and the board isn't really keeping us updated on future plans for graduation but that is understandable.
